Hanse Cup Adriatic 2026 — Sailing, Camaraderie and an Exceptional Adriatic Experience

From 2 to 6 May, the 13th Hanse Cup Adriatic once again brought together Hanse yacht owners, charter guests, crews and sailing enthusiasts for an event that is much more than a regatta. Over three days of racing, the fleet connected Stari Grad on Hvar, Komiža on Vis and Maslinica on Šolta, combining sporting challenges, the Mediterranean lifestyle and the distinctive sense of community that defines the Hanse family.

The competition was serious, yet always conducted in the spirit of fair play and friendly rivalry. A range of Hanse models put their performance to the test along carefully planned routes, while international crews had the opportunity to experience the latest models in their natural environment — under sail.

Each day concluded with an awards presentation for the most successful crews, an exchange of experiences, and a review of photographs taken at sea. The sporting program, therefore, transitioned naturally into relaxed evening entertainment. This balance of speed, safety, socializing, and enjoyment remains the hallmark of the Hanse Cup Adriatic.

Marina Kaštela Warm-Up

The program began at Marina Kaštela with an opening ceremony featuring catering, cocktails, and relaxed socializing. Freshly sliced prosciutto and cheeses, laughter, and a wonderful atmosphere provided the perfect introduction to several days filled with sailing, gastronomy, and entertainment.

Regatta – Day One

The first leg started at Marina Kaštela and finished in Stari Grad, one of the most beautiful historic destinations on the Adriatic. MISCHIEF and HOT STUFF, both Hanse 588 yachts, were locked in a very close battle, with HOT STUFF ultimately taking the lead. Dinner was held at the Eremitaž restaurant, on a beautiful terrace surrounded by greenery and almost hidden within the forest. Local dishes and excellent wines were accompanied by a superb trio whose guitars and songs created a warm and authentic Dalmatian evening.

Regatta – Day Two

On the second day, the fleet continued towards Komiža on the island of Vis in constantly changing weather conditions. At the start of the leg, the crews hoisted their gennakers and searched for the fastest route, carefully adjusting their tactics as the conditions evolved. MISCHIEF, a Hanse 588, made a particularly effective strategic choice, which proved decisive as the yacht crossed the finish line in second place, right behind HOT STUFF, Hanse 588. As the fleet approached Vis, the wind strengthened considerably, adding a demanding final challenge to the day’s racing. Afterward, participants were welcomed at Fabrika restaurant for one of the culinary highlights of this year’s program. Owned by renowned Croatian singer and Celebrity MasterChef winner Luka Nižetić, the restaurant served an exceptional dinner, while local DJ Senso kept the atmosphere going late into the evening.

Regatta – Day Three

The third leg led the fleet to Maslinica on Šolta in challenging conditions, with strong winds and persistent rain testing the crews throughout the race. SUPERNATURAL, a Hanse 508, and LA BRISA, a Hanse 410, delivered impressive performances, working their way up the rankings to secure second and third place respectively. The regatta then reached its celebratory conclusion in the impressive surroundings of the Martinis Marchi restaurant, where renowned Croatian chef Pero Savanović prepared a selection of delicacies for the participants. This was followed by the official awards ceremony, while the band Dreames lifted the atmosphere even further and kept everyone dancing late into the night.
