Dear clients and friends,
First of all, we would like to thank everybody who took part in the fourth edition of the Hanse Cup Adriatic in Croatia from April 23rd to April 27th 2016!
We’ve prepared a photo gallery on Facebook for you, check it out and make sure you tag yourselves and your crew in the photos. If you would like to share your own photos with us, we will gladly share them on our Facebook page.
For those of you who were not able to join us, here is a brief report.
We’ve had some interesting weather and wind conditions in our three days of sailing while the third day proved to be just perfect for a regatta. In the evenings, we were enjoying local specialities and wine, accompanied by great music and dancing. All together, we had 25 crews from 13 different countries (even as far as China) with almost 150 people participating in the Hanse Cup Adriatic 2016 and the feedback was just great. We have certainly achieved our goal of three days of sailing and fun and we are glad to hear that many are coming back next year.
The regatta had three legs. The first one was from Split to Vis, the second one from Vis to Hvar and the third one was from Hvar to Milna. An almost complete range of Hanse Yachts, from Hanse 345 to Hanse 575 participated in this regatta, divided in 4 divisions. A handicap was taken into account to determine the overall winners.
The Russian crew of the Hanse 455 – Veni Vidi Vixi, with Alexandr Musikhin as the skipper took first place overall. The German crew with Swen Göbel at the helm was second with the Hanse 455 – Twist & Shout while Frank Honan with his crew from Great Britain took third place with Hanse 415 – Ambra.
The Crowd favourite award went to the Irish crew of the Hanse 385 – Jumpin’ Jack, with Connor Lyons as the skipper, who also took first place in division 5.
